How to choose the most competetive advantage elevator supplier? Teach you to avoid these several pothole.

Pothole1: Mistake the lowest price or brand as the only criterion

There is a common problem in the procurement industry, have the habit to take the price as the largest weight reference standard. and some have the cheapest price as purchasement principles. As the saying goes;You get what you pay off.

The elevator companents have several hundreds items.different model solutions ,add assembling ,labor cost ect.. If buyer only pursue cheap price, stand a good chance of falling into the pothole.

For example, some tender project,the Purchasing specialist found two offers pint to the same project. The Premium Brand ‘s standards configurations functions have 53items. the second line Brand’s standards configurations functions only have 35 items , and others all list in the optional functions. That’s the reasons why its cost looks cheap.

Its easy to meet this situation, while plan to order found need add this cost that cost, finally found the total cost also not cheap. it will delay the purchse time. at the same time take the buyer in an Awkward Situation. or add money ,or change supplier for a short time. But anyway, it would effect the purchasing schedule.

Pothole 2: Avoid brand blind spots

Obly cheap price, The opposite myth is that, Only Brand. The Former only aim to price, the latter only aim Brand. Big Brand manufactuer have good reputaion,quality guaranty,after-sales service. so many buyer to save time and power directly choose its products and service.

But as the complex constructure of elevator. althrough choose big brand, also can not assure each parts have a good quality.

For Example. In some Residential elevator Project, the buyer directly fix the Primium Brand,not consider the second line brand at all. But latter after compare the two offers, the buyer found the home elevator wire rope used only the normal one,but the competitor manufactuer used is steel belt. the total cost not too big, but the main key parts quality is wide apart.

Instead of buy the Priemium brand’s Medium and low composition, no better than buy the High-end series of Seconf line Brand. Price more advantages. also more safe and reliable.

Pothole 3: Who will bear these cost is not clear in advance?

Like the whole equipment cost,shipping cost, tax,insurance cost,installation fee and debugging cost ect…or as delay delivery caused storage charge…should be clearly before order.

Pothole 4: The buyer should get the specific parameter data in case caused extra alteration cost.

In the purchasing stage, need clear the basic civil construction data includes:

How many floors? Height of each floor?

Shaft size? Pit depth? Top floor height?

With machine room or not? ect…

All these info. ‘s precise to avoid unneccessary cost accured.
